Vacation with us by the Southport Bridge in the quiet of "your own" little island cottage. The four Thompson Cottages are located a stones throw from one of Maine's most picturesque waterways - Townsend Gut. A variety of boat traffic, including tugs, fishing boats, yachts, windjammers, and excursion boats passes through the Southport Bridge all summer long. You'll be close enough to the bustle of activity in nearby Boothbay Harbor to enjoy the fun of sightseeing, shopping and dining out. The season runs from mid May through mid October.
Alice and Dick Thompson have been hosting vacationers at their cottages since 1968. Across the street is Robinson's Wharf where you can conveniently purchase lobsters or other seafood and hamburgers, etc. to be eaten there or to take back to your cottage. Bring your own boat. Docking space based on availability. Please contact us for more information. The Thompson Cottages are now offering free WIFI to our guests!
